Just Dominic aka Dominic LaRon Pruitt was born on June 26th 1974, in Detroit, MI. He comes from a conservative and spiritual family. Just Dominic was born the 4th and last son of 7 children to Pastor Gladys and Mel Pruitt. growing up Dominic leaned towards his music destiny.

 

In 1989, he became a freshman at Frank Cody High, where music teacher, Mr. Tilis Butler, became his mentor, where he met classmate, music student and high school senior, Nicole (Nicci) Gilbert Grammy Award nominated R&B, Soul and Gospel singer from group, Brownstown.

In 1993 Just Dominic auditioned for RFC (Radical for Christ) which was conducted by Multi-platinum selling, Stellar and Grammy Award winner, Fred Hammond. Just Dominic made the cut. The following year Just Dominic along with two young producers of legendary award winning, Marvin Winans’ Perfecting Praise Choir (Ancel Dewberry and Anton Foster) wrote his first songs, God Alone and Attitude. These songs caught the attention of Mario Winans and Dallas Austin. The two were so impressed with him they invited him to Atlanta to work with them.

However, Just Dominic respectfully had to decline because of his strict church upbringing. Instead he began working for legendary multi-platinum selling, Grammy award song writer, Parkes Stewart as his studio apprentice. 

 

After touring with Fred Hammond and Radical For Christ during the debut of “The Inner Court”, Just Dominic left to pursue his writing passion. Just Dominic started his own production company, Bullet in Flight. During that time Just Dominic also wrote and produced an original stage play called, “My Father’s House, Time, Won’t Give Time” and even wrote a few songs for the productions. A few years later being approached by Tyscot Records, Just Dominic wrote a #1 hit, “Exalt The King” for Chris Jones & Word of Praise. “Exalt The King” was their only #1 hit and it stayed on the charts for more than 52 weeks.

 

In 2005, He officially started Bullet In Flight Productions, LLC in Detroit, MI. Producing several stage plays like, “Time Won’t Give Time” a play addressing domestic violence. My Father’s House, the music industry and sexual exploration.

 

In 2006 Just Dominic's employment transferred him to New Mexico. There, Just Dominic wrote two more theater shows, (The Missionary’s Position and The Nature of Reality) By 2019, Just Dominic had returned to his first love, music. In that same year Just Dominic released his highly anticipated freshman EP, “Introducing Dominic. Dominic.

 

These days, Just Dominic. is managing operations of Bullet In Flight Radio and preparing the launch of the new independent record from, “Bullet In Flight Productions, LLC.”.  debuting NEW music co-produced by Alex of LX Music in 2023.
